download Disc Brake Hardware Replacement – Rear Removal Procedure 1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting. 2. Remove the tire and the wheel assembly. 3. Remove the bolt (2). 4. Remove the support key (3) and the spring (4). 5. Drive out the support key using a brass punch and a hammer. Installation Procedure 1. Lubricate the caliper and the anchor plate sliding surfaces with Shell Aeroshell(R) Grade 5 lubricant or equivalent. Important: Do not use NEVER SEIZE type products on the caliper V-ways and/or anchor plate guide way surfaces. Install the spring (4) and the support key (3). 2. Drive the support key in place using a brass punch and a hammer. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. 3. Install the bolt (2). The boss on the bolt must fit into the circular cutout in the key. Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). 4. Install the tire and the wheel assembly. Important: Pump the brake pedal until it is firm before moving the vehicle. Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder after pumping the brakes. 5. Lower the vehicle. Brake Caliper Mounting Plate Replacement – Rear Removal Procedure 1. Apply the parking brake. 2. Block the wheels. 3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting. Notice: Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic’s wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from it’s mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak
